Scenario Information


     Case Summary:

     ­82 yo male presented to the emergency department after having a syncopal episode. He currently feels a bit off but otherwise no complaints.

     Target Learning Groups:

      Physicians, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Interprofessional Team

     Educational Goals:

     ­Identify differential diagnosis of syncope/bradycardia
Identify indications for use of TCP
Discuss considerations with transvenous pacemaker insertion
Demonstrate TCP initiation & TVP insertion
